Research & Facilities
The College of Education and Human Development is committed to researching improvements to the learning process for students of all ages in all types educational or training organizations. The college has five research centers and one institute, including the
- Center on Innovations in Learning, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and assists state educational agencies with adopting new learning strategies that improve educational outcomes; and the
- Institute on Disabilities, which works to foster respect from all sectors of society for individuals with all types of disabilities and supports research and service efforts that promote their self-reliance, self-empowerment and ongoing, active engagement with the community.
The college also has departments dedicated to improving educational policy, organization and leadership; instructional strategies; and understanding of the relationship between behavioral health and learning.
