Careers, Internships & Opportunities

Internships & Opportunities

The College of Liberal Arts encourages undergraduate students to participate in internships to prepare for their future careers. Students can apply the core skills they learn in their degree programs—how to think critically, solve problems and communicate effectively—in real-world professional settings.

The college actively collaborates with Temple’s Career Center and employers across a range of fields and industries to help cultivate professional development opportunities for its students. Additionally, Temple’s location in Philadelphia allows students to pursue internships across an array of organizations in the region.

Department Internships

Internships are vital to the Global Studies BA program. Students gain access to global internship and job portals such as GoinGlobal. You can earn up to three credits by registering for an internship course on Main Campus or by completing an internship course while studying abroad. Temple’s Rome and Japan campuses have well-established internship programs that place students in a variety of fields with international or foreign companies. Additionally, some study abroad programs offer experiential learning courses through which students are placed in an nongovernmental organization to establish real-world professional experience that parallels coursework taken simultaneously on a related topic.

Past international internship placements include the following.

  • Rome Refugee Center (Rome, Italy)
