Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship Graduate certificate

Disrupt the status quo of the current business landscape with the Graduate certificate in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. In this nine-credit, three-course certificate program, students will blend hands-on, interactive classroom learning opportunities with real-world experiences and work with industry leaders in the entrepreneurial space.

Taught by faculty members with a breadth of experience as successful business owners and entrepreneurs, students enrolled in the graduate certificate program will learn to

  • master the art of critical thinking and creative problem-solving;

  • leverage divergent and convergent thinking techniques to suggest solutions or improvements to a business or organization; 

  • design and evaluate business models; 

  • utilize research methods to identify, test and validate assumptions;

  • recognize and evaluate potential entrepreneurial opportunities within various industries; and

  • apply innovative strategies to foster growth and sustainability within a business.

Whether you're entering or reentering the workforce, the Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship Certificate (Graduate) will equip you with the skills and knowledge to boost your employability and earning power in the job market and bring cutting-edge changes to your company, business or startup. 

Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Temple

Students enrolled in the certificate program gain access to additional resources offered through Fox’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute. You can attend workshops and access one-on-one mentorship with both faculty and alumni entrepreneurs alike.

Program Format & Curriculum

This program will be offered in a hybrid format with occasional in-person instruction at Temple’s Main Campus or Temple University Center City. Students are required to complete this program in three semesters.

Throughout the program, students will be assessed through a combination of live and in-class projects, case study analyses, and exams. Students enrolled in the Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship Certificate (Graduate) are required to complete 

  • Business Model Innovation, and

  • Lean Entrepreneurship/Innovation: Fast & Frugal Methods to Launch Startups & Test Innovative Ideas

After completing the required courses, students will choose an elective from the following. 

  • Creativity Unleashed: Harnessing Creativity to Solve Real-World Innovation Challenges 

  • Entrepreneurial Thinking and New Venture Creation 

  • Global Innovation Strategy: Creating Agile, Innovative, Globally-Competitive Organizations 

  • Innovation Intelligence: Plan, Build, Protect, and Monetize a Technology/Innovation Portfolio 

  • Management of Technology and Innovation 

  • Open Innovation and Managing Strategic Alliances 

  • Plan, Pitch, and Fund an Entrepreneurial Start-Up

Tuition & Fees

In keeping with Temple’s commitment to access and affordability, this Certificate Program offers a competitive level of tuition with multiple opportunities for financial support.

Tuition rates are set annually by the university and are affected by multiple factors, including program degree level (undergraduate or graduate), course load (full- or part-time), in-state or out-of-state residency, and more. These tuition costs apply to the 2025–2026 academic year.

Pennsylvania resident: $1,000.00 per credit
Out-of-state: $1,150.00 per credit
