Admissions

How to Apply 

To apply, submit Temple’s online graduate application.

Prerequisites 

The curriculum is designed for students with a BA or BS degree in STEM or related fields.

A BS in Radiation Technology (RT) is preferred. Students with backgrounds in RT, such as X-ray Techs and Radiation Therapists, will get priority. The following college-level courses are required:

  • Human Anatomy and Physiology
  • Mathematics: Algebra and Trigonometry (or Calculus)
  • Medical Terminology
Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from every college and university you have attended. 

Recommendations

Submit two letters from college or university faculty or faculty who are familiar with your competency. If you have an established career in a related field, your immediate supervisor should provide one of the letters.

Goals Statement

Your goals statement should be 500 to 1,000 words in length and include your specific interest in the Medical Dosimetry PSM program, as well as your career goals and academic and professional achievements. 

Standardized Test Scores

GRE scores are not required. 

Résumé

Submit a current professional résumé. 

Additional Requirements for International Applicants 

Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master’s degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums. 

  • TOEFL iBT: 79 
  • IELTS Academic: 6.5 
  • PTE Academic: 61 
  • Duolingo: 110 

Application Deadlines 

  • Fall: March 1 

Program enrollment begins in the fall. Applications are open from August 1 of the preceding year to March 1 of the enrollment year.

Example: the application window for the Fall 2025 enrollment is August 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025.

Applications submitted after the priority deadlines will be considered on a rolling basis.
