Careers

An Urban Education and Policy MEd will enhance your teacher and administration certifications by giving you a deeper understanding of the field, as well as prepare you for careers in community education, policy, advocacy and more.

Voluntary Internships

While all students will participate in work with community organizations during their class time, some students who have more flexible schedules may consider pursuing an internship. Internships give you opportunities to get hands-on experience, refine your understanding of your coursework and make professional contacts who can assist your future career development. Internships are optional experiences that take place as part of your program’s coursework.

School & Community Partnerships

As part of its mission to give back to the surrounding community and provide substantive fieldwork experiences for its students, the College of Education and Human Development has formed partnerships with more than 25 institutions and organizations.
