Letters of recommendation are optional.
We are a test-optional school. You may submit standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) or utilize the Temple Option.
Admission to the BA in Film and Media Arts is by academic review. No portfolio is required. If you’d like to submit links to work, please feel free to email to tfma@temple.edu.
Once accepted and enrolled, students initially declare one of the following majors.
Upon the completion of 60 credits, usually in the spring of the sophomore year, students may apply for one of the following.
To do so, the student must petition the department to request admission into one of the upper-level concentrations/BFA programs. For more details on this process, please see the BA and BFA requirements for Film and Media Arts students in the section below.
To apply for admission into one of the three upper-level Bachelor of Arts concentrations in Cinematography, Producing or Post-Production, or BFA in Screenwriting, Directing or Media Arts, students must meet the following requirements.
